Case Study: Developing First-Time Managers at G-Core Toshkent

As a growing technology company, G-Core Toshkent recognized the need to strengthen the leadership capabilities of its team leads. The challenge was to develop essential management skills, foster effective team communication, and align leadership practices with the company’s strategic goals. To address these needs, G-Core partnered with SOTA to design and deliver the Efficient Leadership Team Program, tailored specifically to the company's unique requirements.

Program Design

The six-week program integrated pre-assessments, interactive workshops, and practical action learning sessions. Key components included:
  • Pre-Assessment: A comprehensive evaluation using employee feedback, self-assessments, and team input to identify managers' strengths and areas for growth.
  • Team Leads Meeting Shadowing: Observing a meeting with team leads, followed by a one-on-one session with the General Manager to analyze and provide recommendations for improving team communication.
  • Team Facilitation: Leveraging the Team Canvas methodology, design thinking frameworks, creative brainstorming, and prioritization techniques, the leadership team collaboratively defined expectations for managers, identified strengths, and established communication norms.
  • Workshops and Action Learning: A combination of interactive workshops and practical group sessions designed to reinforce leadership skills and address real work challenges.
  • Follow-up meetings with the General Manager and HR BP: Shared observations and provided detailed feedback on steps to enhance leadership competencies.
Throughout the program, SOTA provided managers with continuous support via chat, sharing useful resources and follow-up materials.
